Can you imagine what your mouth would look like or feel like if you didn’t brush your teeth?  Yuk?  Ouch!  As busy as we all are, the majority of us pet owners do not brush our dogs’ and especially our cats’ teeth on a regular basis.

What happens as a result?  Food particles, bacteria, and minerals build up, which equates to tartar buildup.  Secondary gum inflammation/ periodontal disease develop.  Infected mouths can cause a significant amount of pain.  Eventually, changes occur in or around a tooth which may warrant its removal.  

During our annual and technician exams, we examine your pet’s mouth and assess the degree of dental disease. We can give you a good idea whether your pet is in a significant amount of pain or whether a dental cleaning can prevent impending pain.
